Can you get a better flow rate drilling a hole in the bottom of the tank and run it to the filter

not drilling it myself have somebody to drill it for me

i have a 70gal fresh water tank with some goldfish and some 2 turtles

You could probably get a better flow, but I am only guessing.

Thanks I am tearing down my aquarium and putting it on my new diy stand
I have one more question when I drill the aquarium is there a kit so I can hook my filter up to it

It depends on what type of filter you are using. If by chance you are using a canister filter, just use a bulk head and tubing to conect it to your filter. I would highly advise using some sort of pvc overflow conected to the bulk head. Otherwise, the pressure from the water may cause the fittings to blow. Once again this is only a guess. Also, you will have to find fitings if the bulk head is larger or smaller than the tubing to the filter. It is hard for me to really go into depth without knowing what type of filter and what brand it is. Also, I would highly recomend talking to someone with a little bit more time in the hobby than me! Maybe a local fish store or the sorts. I would also have to think about air getting inside the filter and causing problems. Hope this helps!
