Monthly Meetings

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to shoot a quick note out to anyone listening to remind you that our meetings are on the second Thursday of each month at the Moxie Java on the N.W. corner of Overland and Five Mile. Any questions about the meetings, call Kevin at 866-4567. Thanks, hope to see you all there.

Jimmo, re: panic, there apparently were some "ruffled feathers" about changing the meeting night w/o any notification. Aside from that, some of the LFS's are getting used to telling customers about Thursdays. In the spirit of trying to bring in new folks (pdb, for instance), we should probably stick with one night. Thursday worked for the majority, so...

pdb, our meetings are rather informal right now. We have a very young club with about 10-12 regular attenders. At this point, we have had members give presentations on their systems and other related subjects. A visit to a member's home to view their systems has followed the past couple of meetings, which has been very educational. Drop me an e-mail if you need more information. Welcome to RC and our little corner of it!!!

As Kevin indicated, we're a rather small little bunch here in Boise. But, that's a good thing. You can get in on the ground floor, it won't take long to learn everyone's name, and it won't take long to figure out what we're all about.

I've searched through your posts and see that you must have a setup somewhat similar to mine and Kevin's. We both run 75's. I use VHO lighting while Kevin runs halides. I've got the better tank ;)

My favorites are the LPS corals, while Kevin seems to think that SPS corals are tops. Others in the group, like Kathi, are more into softies and 'shrooms. Actually, we've all got a bunch of everything cause we tend to do a lot of trading during and after the meetings.

I e-mail monthly reminders about our meetings with some details about what we're likely going to be doing to participants and prospective participants. If you would like, send me an e-mail and I'll add you to the distribution list for those mailings.
