I got 8 of these from an e-bay auction:

http://www.x10.com/automation/x10_sr227.htm

and plan to control them with a Neptune Aquacontroller II (eventually), but a Firecracker module for now for all lights, pumps and heating. My idea is to wire them all together in two 4-gang boxes inside my stand.

Question: What's the best way to wire all these outlets together? Can I follow a standard wiring layout for wall receptacles as shown at http://www.smarthome.com/manuals/MAN-2040.pdf ? Is there anything special to consider with the X10? I am really looking forward to clicking a button on a keychain remote to initiate a feeding cycle :)

That standard wiring procedure works fine. I have all that x10 stuff and it couldnt be easier to wire. There are only two wires in the back, one red and one black. If you mess it up then you shouldn't be fooling with fish tanks in the first place.

Oh yah, and don't forget the most important part. For the love of crap remember to turn off the electricity to the outlets you will be installing on.

Just PM me if you need more help.
