Hi all:D

I am planning a new tank which will have a corner weir built into it. I have access to Lexan (GE Plastics) sheet at work and a bending machine. I am sure I could easily make a corner weir which is obviously cheaper than buying one:eek: . The bought ones are silly money.

The fact that it would be clear rather than black like most weirs does not bother me since once it becomes covered in coralline it wont matter.

The most important thing is - is lexan reef safe. I have looked on the GE plastic website but cannot find any useful info.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers

Its reef safe, but hard to work with. Its super hard. If you've got it for free, go ahead and use it for a weirbox, but dont try to build a tank from it.
