I've read on several threads that you can use a 30w circline CF and unplug the bulb and replace it with the 28w/32w CF light that hellolights carries because it's a 4 pin. I'ld like to convert it to a plug-in instead of the screw-in and was wondering if someone knows how to do this. I took the original bulb off and opened up the housing and it's just a circuit board with the four wire 4 pin plug and the other side has two white wires that attatch to the screw-in base. Is there a way to clip those and attatch them to a plug in (pig tail?) and just house the circuit board in something waterproof? The thread link below shows a picture of the bulb I'm talking about, it's the second one. That person just used a adapter plug-in but I would like to have it direct if possible. Thanx

I don't know if this is what you mean, but you can get an adapter for $0.50 that will let you plug the screw base into a standard outlet. http://mondo.home.insightbb.com
