I seen one guy on use thin, narrow width boards and place them vertically accross the front. Imagine a fence with the vertical side by side boards, wraped around a curved form. Hopefully I stated that clearly.

For the front I searched HD until I found the 1 and only peice of (I believe 1/8") board and not in the best shape I must add...
No barcode so I payed for a 1/4" board (and I had the guy there cut it in 4 even pieces)

That worked really well, good job. I wonder if it would work for something as small as a 7 aga mini-bow....

I am a woodworker, what you want to is cut slots or grooves vertically to help with the bend. For example if you use 3/4' oak plywood cut slots the width of you blade(kerf), approx. about 1/4" to 3/8" apart and arorund 1/2" to 5/8" deep and you should be able to bend it into the arc that you need.
