I'm considering building a large cabinet for my tank, to include floor to ceiling bookshelves. I can easily build the stand for the tank, but I'm looking for something a little more "professional" looking for the bookshelves and other wood components.

Can anyone recommend a good book on shelves, cabinets, etc?

Thanks!

go to www.rockler.com.
They have books on all areas of woodworking including cabnetmaking.
Cool hardware (hidden hinges, etc.) , too
Best of luckwith the project.

I just built a unit for my 10g nano.

I used pine and bead board from HD. I can give you more info if you want it.

(Not sure if the image will post?)

I am getting ready to start a 14' entertainment center for one wall in my livingroom. I plan to have my 55 gallon African Cichlid tank on one side of my TV and a 75 gallon rectangle or 72 gallon bow front on the other side.

I am planning on using 2x6 framing for the structure of the cabinet, then boxing it in with Tongue and Groove Oak. I teach carpentry to a youth training program, so I have a good back ground. I will be taking pics of the whole process as I build it.

I hope to get started as soon as I get a tank. If anyone in the Pittsburgh area, has a better place to get a AGA tank other than Elmers Aquarium, let me know.

75 gallon AGA reef ready $211.99
72 G Bow Front AGA reef ready $221.99

Not sure which to get.
