Hi, I was curious if anybody in the club had any calibration fluid for a Pinpoint Salinity monitor? Mine is not reading correctly and the earliest I can get any shipped to me by is Tuesday.

Thanks, John

Hi John,

Do a search and see if you can find the article about using 20 Mule Borox (or something like that) to calibrate. I think Eric Borneman wrote the article. The stuff is cheap at supermarkets and works very well.

Hi Steven, I think that it's for the PH calibration only. I will double check. Idid find something that randy farley wrote about using table salt mixed with water but the amount of water that is supposed to be used wasnt marked in the article.

I just happen to have an extra bottle that I am more than happy to let you have. Let me know.

That would be great if it is really ok with you. :) I can just as easily bring my unit up there and calibrate it until I can get some ordered. I now realize how convienent it would have been to have a extra bottle on hand!

How can I contact you? Are you available sunday? When would be good for you?

:D
