Just curious. I had my lfs test mine a couple of days ago and they told me it was 14 dkh. I'm wondering now if it's too high? My xenia has looked a little shrivled and I wonder if that's the cause.... I'd like to see what everyone else is keeping theres at as a point of reference. Might also put in some back ground as to how you're maintaining it. I use two scoops of tropic marin bio calcium daily (60 gallon tank) and I top off with Kalk water.

Looks like everyone's making the weekend rounds at their local joints .I'd say 14dKH is about as high as I'd want to go. Don't know how that would affect xeniids. It that higher or lower than your usual? Best to test on a regular basis yourself. I think Anthony Calfo has written that xenia do best at pH 8.3 or higher.I'm at ~11.5dKH/425-430 Ca++/ pH 8.15-8.2 depending on time of day. 175 gal system, Calc reactor, dose Kalk overnite.--MJB

i was running about 10-11dkh but i upped it to right around 12...more coraline and better growth now IMO. 14 is the highest i would push it

Is that mg/l or meq/l? I believe that mg/l /50=meq/l x 2.8= dKH. Most people as LB as stated shoot for 10-12 dKH. If my math (and conversion are correct) you'd want to be at ~175ppm-215ppm.--MJB

I keep mine between 12 ~ 14 dKh. Calcium stays steady at 450.
