Wal-Mart Sand!!!!!!!!!

I stopped by Wal-Mart and found play sand in 50lbs bags for 1.25. The manufacturer is "GreenLeaf" and the outside of the bag says that the sand was cleaned, sifted, and is guarrentted not to stain.


What do you think?

Go to the manufactuers web site and get an MSDS for that sand to see what the silica content is. LeeU

what about quicrete play sand from home depot?

Our Walmart is Quikcrete! If that's what you can find go for it. Not everyone has a Home Depot!!:D

The Quickcrete has silica in it, I've pulled the MSDS.Lee

While it's not preferable over Southdown, you can use Quickcrete. Also I had to still sift mine and it's not quite as white.
