Gotta says thanks to Ninong for turning us, or at least me, onto IA through his early posts about his Starfire tank from Mitch. Ninong if you are reading this I've been wanting this tank since you got your's from Mitch, seems likes it's been ages.
Thanks,
Chris

That is an awesome looking tank there. Really great dimensions. What did you pay for it?

What are your plans for lighting?

Stealyourhouse,
I will email you with the price of this baby, not sure if dollar figures discused in a thread would constitute some violation of RC law or not? As far as lighting goes it will be 4x400 watt Radiums run off of 2 dual pulse start ballasts from Sunlight Supply.

Kozmo02,
Thanks, I will be updating the pics once a week or so to show everything I have done,(minus the screw ups....).
I have been itching to see Boondock Saints for awhile, but it seems no video place in my area has or can get the DVD. I guess I'll have to pick it up online, thanks for reminding me.
Thanks,
Chris

BOTR

Gonna try to make em a big bigger............ Give me a few minutes.

BOTR

Apparently I do not have the mental capacity to lower the resolution, while increasing the actual size of the image there by making the file size acceptable to RC. Sorry Mako I tried.
 Chris

what i do is just resize the image (make the resolution 72dpi) and then save as web. you can adjust the quality/filesize through there.

or send them to me and i'll help ya out.

what's the link to the IA website? or do they have one at all?

How do they ship those tanks and how much was it for shipping? And once it comes to your door how does one move the tank from the truck to its final spot? Please forgive my ignorance.

BOTR

Louis Z,
They are shipped via Canadian Express. Shipping on this tank ran me around $450. We moved it with 3 guys, and a pully system ffor going down basement stairs. I think it weighed in around 700-750Lbs.

pi,
I've been dying to get my hands on a piece of that Efflo. How's is it looking/growing for ya?

Looks like a new group of people can see the pic today. Homestead is free, but the bandwidth gets used up realativly quickly. Sorry about that.

Thanks Kevin. I think the biggest challenge will be filling this tank up with frags. I'm willing to accept donations!
Thanks,
Chris

Tank,
From those pics, the edges of the glass seem awful GREEN. Is that just an illusion from the photos?? Are all the panes supposed to be Starphire?
BTW....it's a beauty of a tank!

Kev

The glass is definately starfire. I believe that the greenish tint is in part the silicone that was used. I'm not sure if it could also be an effeect of the outside beveling of the corners as well.

I'll try to post an update tomorrow, but I will need the assistance of someone here at RC, as I have very little BandWidth and that posed a problem with having everyone trying to see. Any volunteers to host my pics?
Thanks,
Chris

Tank- I'm very glad to see the pics of your tank, it's beautiful:eek2: . I've been planning one of the same dimensions. Any recomendations? How was your experience with IA?
