First, just to let everyone I am returning to the hobby after 1 1/2 yrs. I set up a new tank this week and after moving the live sand around for some LR this weekend, I found some worms (around 3-4) I've never seen before. When I dig them up the want to go back in the sandbed, they look alot like a normal earthworm. I was just curious if they were a pest worm and if I should remove them now, before they grow to 10 inches long :mixed: I attached a pic. Thanks.

Dubs Reefer,
[welcome]

Look like Bristle Worms to me. Harmless scavangers. They will reproduce in the tank. Just do a search on them for more information and articles.

Don't touch them though, they have a powerful sting.

Is there anything you can put in the tank that will eat them? Or do you just have to deal with the uglieness?

Thanks
