baby peppermint shrimp in refugium?

I was trimming the caulepra in my sump and was in shock to find 2 baby shrimp. I only introduced 5 one month ago, and all were large adults. Is this common?

Are you sure they are peppermint shrimp? Are you familiar with mysis shrimp?

im sure. I can see the little red lines that go front to back. They are about a half inch in size.
