Apparently you cannot just 'browse' to a movie clip and attach it like you would with a regular picture. What am I doing wrong?:hmm4:

Movie clips are too big Gary. RC has an attachment limit of like 85k or something (really small, that's why you have to scale the pictures down). Movie file's tend to be a lot larger. If you can post it to a server somewhere's (upstatereef.com come's to mind), and then link to it, you should be all set.

Know that I know what I must do, I gotta figure out how to do it.
A good project for late tonight.

Is it possible to rotate these videos, delete sound, or edit them in any manner?

It is possible to edit video files, you need software that will do it. I believe Pixela the software that somes with the Sony Digital Cameras can do some manipulations, but I have not done it personally.

It's possible Gary, but like Doug said, you need special software to do it. Said software is not always all that cheap, either. Even Apple's software they're pushing for "home video" editing is a 30-bucks. Pro version $1K. I don't know what's available at a reasonable price for the Windows crowd, but I'm pretty sure Quicktime Pro is available for most version's of MS.

For Windows, ULead makes a good video edit software. They have a home version and a pro version. You probably just need the home fersion. I think it was called video studio, think its about $90. MediaStudioPro is allot more it's about 500 so I would go with the home version. Not sure whats out there for less than $90. If you've gots lots of cash to burn get a mac (this is coming from an IBM Engineer :) ) shh don't tell my boss

Thanks for all the input. For now, I guess I'll just have to tell the family to keep it to a mild roar while I'm taping.:rolleye1:

Now you got me interested and I'm trying something here. I will try a video clip and animation. Where else I will learn all these stuff other than RC.

Gary if you can find a way to attach the video into your website, if you have one, you can just add the link in your thread. Someone else did it in here. I think it was Lunchbucket, perhaps shoot him an email or do a search for his thread. I've been wanting to do the same thing.

I tried to upload and it did not work so I had to upload it to my server.
Just fed the tank and put the camera on one side.

I've always liked Adobe Premier. Available for both Mac and PC.

Well I'll be ....

I didn't know you could stream video inline. Is that an animated GIF or an mpg?

Just for the record ReeferMac, you can embed video in a page, but the obvious caveat is that you need to a browser plugin configured to view it. I've done it a few times for clients, and 90% of the visitors can view with no problem... the other 10%... forget it!

Now, that being said, I doubt the BB software would let you do it, presuming it strips, but you never know...

Oh, and I second the nod for premier too.

is gif and I used my camera to do that. I took the clip with MPG and then changed to GIF using JASC Paint Shop Animation. It does the trick and I thought it will be easier to do it this way. :)

here is the link to MPG (http://almarzouqi.net/rc/anim.mpg)

OK this is a pretty cheeZEE hack but it should work in both netscape and IE...
The real trick was to fake out the BB to let me post the code, and even that wasn't too hard ;)

No, I didn't work real hard to size the player. Sorry.

I use Sony Mavica CD to do pictures and if I want to do movie clips then I can do it too. The pictures are clear and I like it. After I take the pictures I upload them to my computer. You can go to download.com and download Paint shop pro trial version if you don't have one. After you download it you will have photo shop and animation. I open the video clip from my computer using animation (Paint Shop Pro) and then view animation and save it as gif. I upload the animation to my server (if you don't have one send me your file and I will upload it for you) You come here and press IMG and paste the link in the server here and you are ready to go.:D
