Someone sugested that I need special bulk heads for my tank. Does anyone else have a 90g with a corner overflow in it.

It HAS ONE 11/2 AND ONE 13/4 HOLE IN IT. Do I need special ones or just normal ones at the store? Thanks

Corey

I have the same tank. It uses standard bulkheads. The 1 3/4" is for a 1" bulkhead. The 1 1/2" is for a 3/4" bulkhead. I purchased the AGA overflow kit. I didn't use the standpipe. I made a durso instead.

will a schedule 26 pipe fit into a schedule 26 bulk head?

Most people use sch-40 with bulkheads, but sch-26 will work. It just has a thinner pipe wall.

Sch-80, sch-40, and sch-26 all have the same OD dimension.

As I mentioned to you before Corey, just make sure you get bulkheads that match the holes you have in your tank. If you go ask for a 1 inch and 3/4 inch bulkhead they may not fit. If you go ask for a 1 inch bulkhead that fits a 1.75 inch hole and a 3/4 inch bulkhead that fits a 1.5 inch hole you should be fine.

I believe the ones AGA used are commonly called rainbow or marineland bulkhead fittings. My LFS carries some very nice grey abs fittings that are about twice as thick and will not crack, but the require much bigger holes to get the same results. I just was trying to save you a trip (I am speaking from experience  )
