Hello,

I currently am running 4x96w pc lighting on a 90 gallon tank. The canopy is 8 inches high and my tank temp high is 82 degrees in summer time. I do not have a chiller, instead I have a 4 inch fan and a large exhaust hole that runs along the back of the canopy.

I very badly want to upgrade to 2x250 10k MH, but I dont want to build another canopy or have to buy a chiller. So I want to cut two holes on the top of my canopy and mount 2 reefoptix III pendants flush on the top of the canopy. Actinic lighting would be supplied via 2x96 pc mounted inside the canopy. Would this work? Will having the pendants outside the canopy help with heat dissapation. My house temp is usually in the mid 70's. Any comments would be appreciated

Blast the air conditioner.
