Just came back from Skipton, they currently have lots of livestock, good looking corals and fish. I guess I am going to stop ordering livestock online and get my stuff from them (I actually bought my tank there). :fish1:

I was at Skipton's last weekend. It's coming along nicely.

Where is the store located? I have never been there.

It's in Boston, close to the Hospital. You pass the Hospital (Mass ave) and then a couple of blocks you turn around.

The BRS site should probably maintain a list of LFS. Whether they are rated or not would be a debate topic.

Here's decent but incomplete and outdated source of LFS info.

Actually we do maintain a list.

Before I went there I called Tropical Isle (I was looking for DT's and TI didn't have, Skipton did) and the Lady at Tropical Isle was so unhelpful, she seemed to be dying on the phone! Send the ambulance! :D

I am going to try to make it over to TI for the first time tonight, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Just bring the girl some food. It must be hunger from the looks of her. Or are we speaking of the Mrs?

Easy, let us not delve too deeply into the personal insults. It makes us look bad.
Thanks.

Just got back. I didn't buy anything because I am planning on holding off on new stuff until the opening of Roby's place tomorrow. I was pretty impressed. I can see where the comments about their livestock care and prices would come in, but that place offers great selection. I was really impressed with the size of the store. Man some of their fish make me wish angels and butterflys were reef-safe.

-B- (aka perfect pet) just started at TI reccently. Things are changing there for the better. Also lets stop picking on the TI staff, I know "goth girl" personally and she is actually pretty nice, but sort of comes off as cold. Just go in and look for Brendon if you want any help. My .02

I guess it's not really picking. I would suggest that they put someone else to pick up the phone or ask her to change the attitude. Otherwise they will alienate potential customers. It is hard for someone to get motivated to go to the store and buy something when you get this type of treatment on the phone. Right now they can afford this because there's not much competition. But by the time a store opens closeby they'll be gone in a minute. Just a recommendation from a business owner (not reef related).
