How does the jewel damsel (Neoglyphidodon oxyodon) do in the presence of invertabrates? Mainly anemones, polyps, and mushrooms? He is full grown (about 2.75 inches)

damsels dont really hurt inverts or corals but can get kind of pushy towards other fish
According to Scott Michael's Marine Fishes, Neoglyphidodon oxyodon tops out at 5.9 inches and goes from a "dazzling juvenile" to a "big, drab, nasty adult". It shouldn't hurt invertebrates but will terrorize other fish and will become ugly as it matures.

I had a jewel damsel. Had him for a week then brought him back. He didn't do anything to my polyps but turned really nasty towards his fishy tankmates. So off he went. Too bad though, cause I kinda liked him. Very animated compared to my other damsel.

There are only 2 fish in the tank I want to put him into.... a .5 inch percula clown and a 1 inch goby. The goby hides in places that the damsel can't get to most of the time anyways... You think the clown might have trouble with him?

I have no experiences with either of the following, but I think there is some confusion here.
The picture above, Neoglyphidodon oxyodon, is in my experience not called a Jewel damsel, but a Blue velvet damsel. Liveaquaria says that they get up to 6".

Microspathodon chrysurus, is commonly known as the Jewel Damsel, or jewelfish, can get up to 8" and if I remember reading somewhere correctly, they are the terror of all damselfish, although they are very attractive as juveniles.

I'm definitely not a damsel expert though.

My clown was the one that didn't get along with him. He picked on my jewel for 3 days then the jewel snapped and went after everyone.
