I need HELP

I just set my tank up again after my recent move and I am get extremely bad dusting of diatoms on my glass and sand. I clean the glass and one hour later I can no longer see through the glass... What do I have too much of guys? The tank is about 140 gallons. 36 hi by 36 wide. I have 3 36� 03 actinic and two 400 watt MH 10000 k. I am only using one of the MHs because with two it is WAY to bright. SO what should I do to get rid of these diatoms guys???

when you reset up a tank, it will always go through another cycle. sounds normal to me.

did you use ro/di water or tap?

I use DI water. Last night I did a 35% water change just incase something was leaching in from my new PVC plumbing. I also added carbon to try to help with the problem. So you think this is norm? How long should this cycle take?

i really depends. it takes quite a few months for a tank to mature. you can try setting up a refugium with macros to compete with the diatoms and microalgaes.
