I will be picking up a 110g 48x18x30 ($46) that needs to be resealed. I have read thru threads & it seems that the HD GE Silicone I (no anti-fungal) is what I want. Anyone know for sure? Or if there is another that is better? Thanks
The wife is beginning to think we will be overun with tanks!

Anything that is 100% pure silicone is fine. I had to reseal my tank after it leaked and picked up some stuff from home depot, I believe it was called Silicone II, but it was simply silicone. Also do yourself a favor and get the kind that fits in a caulking gun, it will make it a lot easier, squeeze a trigger rather than a toothpaste style tube.

Thanks, I didn't want to go for the $6 tube at LSF, too much $$, too many tubes, caulking gun will be much easier.

I have heard more folks use Silicone I but Silicone II would be ok also. Just make sure it does not have an anti-fungal in it!

The GE silicone that I use on my tanks is GE1200 ... no extra nasties added

Cheers

yea, the 110 was off E-Bay, waited until 1 minute left & then bid. Here's hoping just a reseal will work. I'm going to fill it with frsh & leave it sitting for 2-3 weeks maybe. $46 I figure its worth a shot.
