I am currently running on my 65 gallon
acrylic tank a CSL Prism Pendant with
a single Ushio 175 10k mh and 2-32 watt
actinics. The tank has the dreaded center brace which is 9" wide and this blocks
significant light to the center of the tank.
It is causing brown algae growth of the
rock under this brace. I am thinking of
replaceing the lighting with two pendants,
one over each opening. I would like
suggestions on which pendant and mh
halide bulb. No plans to keep sps, just
softies. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Spider Light refelectors. I have them and if you mount them low enough youwill get the light around your center brace.

I agee, on my 60 acrylic, I have one on each side bypassing the center brace! Really for that tank you should have 2!
