I have an amiracle sl-5 (hang on) with protein skimmer on my 30g AGA. I want to modify it a bit. I was thinking about getting an airstone and running down into the skimming and maybe replacing the rio 600 attached to skimmer with a maxi-jet 1200 ... How does this sound? I don't have a huge bio load right now (2 false perc, 10 hermits, 40 lbs LR, 4 snails) but I guess it wouldn't hurt to modify? Please correct me if I am wrong. The skimmer is pulling out some greenish, black stuff but is mixed in with the bubbles ... thnx in advance!:cool:
