Zooanthid Meltdown?

I have a zooanthid that has always looked great. Over the last couple of days the right side of the coral is closed up. I wouldn't worry except that it looks as if the "skin" is fusing together and not allowing the polyps to re-emerge. Has anyone else had this problem? Am I losing it? The polyps always retract when I stick my hand in there but usually come back out within a couple of minutes. Haven't seen the polyps on the right side for over two days.
