Do you turn your skimmer off when adding chems?

I wasn't sure if the skimmer would pull out additives that I put in my tank. Calcium, buffer, etc. I used to turn it off when adding phytoplankton.

No need to turn it off for those aditives. In fact, for some you want as much aeration as possible (like limewater).
