Can anyone offer suggestions on how to seed ordinary LACE rock with a few choice pieces of live rock.
I plan on using a 25 rubbermaid tote with a 2-3 inch layer of crushed coral and carib sea live sand on the bottom for starters.
The base rock will be supported on top of the live sand with eggcreate and a makeshift pvc stand supporting it. That way the debris will fall towards the bottom into the sand.
On top of the base rock will be a few choice pieces of live rock.
I will have a strong power head placed just above the choice pieces and a heater on the bottom.
Im not so sure about lighting though......
Does it even need any?
