Is it safe to run just one bulb off a Custom Sea Life 2x96 PC ballast and leave the other cord unused?

I could unplug the whole 'unused' cord right at the ballast, if that makes any difference.

Thanks.

As long as it can run without the other one it should be fine, but it'd be better if you did unplug it and cover the outlet so nothing (saltwater) can get in there and cause damage. Some lights are wired so that both have to be running, in which case you have to run both.

If I am not mistaken, each bulb on the CSL has it's own individual ballast. I have a dual 65 and it uses two Workhorse 3's. I am pretty sure they do the same for the dual 96.

Excellent - that's what I was hoping to hear.

Ok then, back to work on my 2x250MH/2x96 actinic PC/1x96 10K PC installation :)

looks like a nice tank, small pic though.

I wish I could get a 100+ gallon tank. Darn part time job budget.
