I have read recent discussion of a puffer being put in a reef tank. These are definitely one of the coolest fish out there and I would love to put one in my tank if the overall consensus is OKEE DOKEE.

This is what I have currently in my 140 gallon tank.

-One Yellow Tang
-One Kole Tang
-One Coral Beaty
-Two Blue/Green Chromis'
-One Scooter Blenny
-One Clarki Clown

These are my corals

-Zooanthis (sp?)
-Galaxia
-Rose Anemone
-Cabbage Leather
-Star Polyp
-Red Hairy Mushroom

Whadayathink?

After much consideration and research, I put a Valentini in my 72 a few months back. He is doing great. His tankmates: Sailfin, green chromis, clown goby. I keep sps, clams, a few LPS, etc. Been a model citizen. The ONLY downfall is he eats my pods, etc. Ive seen this firsthand.

I have a porky in my reef. Shes been in there for about a year and doesnt touch a thing. I would advice that you acclimate and make sure that the little guy sees you as the food source and not the corals.
I would also consider your bioload, its already getting a little high with the number of fish and a puffer is REALLY messy.

I agree w/Theo. Just watch the bio-load.
