Is there any reading articles on MH lighting, esp the bulbs?

Cant give you any articles. A search might help thoough? I did a TON of searches when I bought a new bulb.

20k is more blue than 10k. No 'k' value used in aquaria is truly the REAL kelvin value though, it is just marketing for the most part.

I agree on the Ushio, I think you'll find they get better reviews overall.

Boy are you in the wrong hobby  I haven't seen BOGO in the reef arena since the LFS had half dead marine fish BOGO.

First of all, asking a bunch of questions does not make you a pest. Secondly, if we ever do think you are a pest, we'll just ignore your posts, hehe.
Thirdly, i'm one of those people that really likes the more blue look of the 20kk's. That's what a reef should look like in my book, and i never have liked the ultra-drab/ultra-brown feeling i get from 10KK's. Just my 1 7/8 cents worth.

I like the 400W XM lamps, blows the radiums away, in my opinion. Hellolights, $69
