I though Dr. Foster & Smith owns the www.etropicals.com & www.liveaquaria.com. But why are their price are so big difference?? Any idea?
http://www.etropicals.com/product/scateg.cfm?siteid=43&pCatId=1197
https://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?siteid=23&pCatId=701
Is it one quality better than the other???
Thanx

eTropicals used to be based in Florida, so any Carribean species should be cheaper buying from them. If F&S still maintain the Florida operation, Carribean stuff shipped direct should still be cheaper.
eTropicals is the only place to get some Carribean species like Chalk Bass that I've found.
I don't know if the items you are questioning are Carribean based, and I have no idea if this is the exact reason for the price difference. Just my theory, worth about $.02.

I just received an order of snails and a couple lettuce nudis from etropicals. Everything was packaged great. My cerith snails didn't make it though. I'm happy for the 10 day gaurentee. The box was a little cool also considering there was only one heat pack and the temp was 32 degrees the day they arrived.
Here is what I ordered and everthing is doing great except for the above mentioned ceriths.
7 mexican turbos.
11 nassarious snails
2 lettuce nudis
7 cerith snails
1 fighting conch
I love the build your own section, where shipping is free with orders of $60 or more. Way cheaper than anywhere else I found.
