I drove from Denver, CO to Detroit, MI with my 7.5 gallon reef cube in my passenger seat. I emptied 1/2 the water into sealable containers and in the evening, I took the tank into the hotel room and plugged in the lights/pump. All inhabitants (snails, crabs, CBS, pair of Ocellaris, and half dozen corals) fared well! For a 3 hour trip, I'd just put them in a bucket and drive! When you order online, they travel for 12-36 hours in a bag!

... they'll be fine!

I tried to tell him they would be fine in a bucket, but said his friend drives really fast and crazy, do you think this would bother the fish at all..and do you think he need the air supplier...

for a 3 hour trip, have him grab the fish, take it to a lfs , have them bag them up with some o2 and off he goes.

Well if his friend drives fast and crazy it will produce PLENTY of oxygen in the water! :D No need for an air supply for a few hours ..,
