Corky Sea Fingers.. to buy or not to buy?

The LFS I just got back from had the cutest little branch of corky sea fingers. It is about 4" tall and looks healthy. If I get it will it take over my tank, as it is an encrusting coral (kinda like star polyps)?

This one has a white encrustation... is this a normal color varient or is it 'bleaching'?

Hi Kara,
Is this a briareum? I believe they are a moderately fast grower but won't "take over" as they encrust and don't "drop off" babies readily like xenia does.
