Feather Duster's Tube Split

Somehow there is a split in my feather duster's tube. It is a about 1 inch from the top and is about 1 1/2 inches long. Yesterday morning parts of he worm was protruding from both holes but never fully extended. I have not seen it at all since about 1 pm yesterday. Is it ok? Anything I should do for it?

Possible it is starving :eek: According to Ron Shimek, we are finding out that these guys are difficult to feed. I had one for about 3 years until it did the same thing. Have you tried posting this on 'Ask Dr. Ron' on this board? He might be able to help you.
