hey guys, just wanted to get the word out among all the orlando reefers..i'm looking to get my hands on either a PC (at least 2x55, i think) or 175w MH setup. Preferrably used, and cheap.

This kit will go over a new reeftank, 36g, 30"x12"x22H. Any suggestions as to what I may need for lighting are welcome as this is my first "large" reef. I've been into small reef tanks ("nanos" <20g) for a few years now, but I'm not quite sure how to approach lighting a larger tank, and suggestions are appreciated!

thanks!
tana

The questions becomes what do you want to keep. If your looking for sps and clams I would do the 175wt MH. If you want softies and lower light hard corals, PC should be fine.

I just bought a coralife PC 2x65 hood w/fans brand new on ebay for $104.00. Im using it on my 29g tank that will be primarily a ricordia tank. But I did place a monti cap frag on top in the middle.

Here is a link to pics of it.
