Will having a really low temperature for 3-4 days at 40-60 F kill off the beneficial bacteria in live rock? Will I have to cycle the rocks again or can the bacteria survive a little cold?

First question is why would you let it get down that low?
If its around 60, you might have some parts of the LR stay alive.
At 40 for 4 days, I would assume it would become dead rock

I should've clarified a little on how the temp got so low. I was curing some live rock and it was towards the end of the cycle but I didn't notice the heater had been off for a couple days (this was in the basement).
I think it was more like 2 days but it could've been 3.

ok--now I see
Well in a basement the temp was probably about 60, I see you live in CA. Bring it back up to temp and keep cycling.
Anyone else have input on this??

I had a similar temp situation for quite a bit longer time, less then 65F for 7 days. This was in one of my displays and some die off occured but the system caught up within a week or so.
I would expect the cycle to "restart", but that is only a guess based on a single experience.
Good luck.
