New Mantis Shrimp

hey reefers,

i just wanted to share with everyone my newest addition. i just got a nice 5" peacock mantis shrim yesterday from the LFS. man it is a beautiful creaure. i put him in one of my large filtration vats in my basement which is joined to the rest of my system. it is such a beautiful creature. now i see why they call it a peacock mantis, when it fans its tail out it looks just like a peacock strutting its plumage. i can see the thumpres underneath but i have yet to hear it 'clicking' but with the size of it i would think it would be more like 'thumping'. anyone else keeping a large one of these have any tips on keeping it or special instructions? thanks in advance.

Wow! That is a gorgeous shrimp! I've always wanted to set up a mantis nano. Thanks for the inspiration guys.

no new pics yet, but i got it at fish doctors in canton, marcus ordered it special ofr me.

ken your going to be at the conference on friday right? or are you still out of town?

some new wavemaking devices will be making a appeance also :D
