New Dacor fins

well, I had to do it. Went to the LDS to buy some new fins for upcoming trip to Hawaii in April. I had planned on getting the Quattro, which has been ranked very high among the solid paddle fins. I noticed though that they had some new Dacor Fins called "tigers". They looked similar to the Mares "Volo". Well I took the plunge and spent the big $ on the tigers. All I can say is WOW! Those things are great. They seem much more efficient, and as fast as split fins...however they still have the great manuever ability of a paddle. They are expensive, but would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade. Solid, comfortable, fast, efficient.

Also, I heard that Dacor owns Mares, is that true? The Dacor fins have the same swivel technology as the Mares volo.

Actually Mares owns Dacor. About your fins they are the same fins as the Volo's just like you said they are nice fins as I have a pair also (Volo). Personally this is my opinon the Volo's are nice for not much current, but the Quattro's being a stiffer fin give you much more power for fighting against the current.
I have never had a problem with the Volo fins giving me cramps in my calfs like I did alot with the Quattro,s. So I'm sticking with the Volo's.
