I want to buy a 2 1/2 " diamond hole saw for a 1 1/2 " bulkhead. This is the bit I found:

Does anyone have any experience with this bit? Is it worth getting? What is it's lifespan?

Funny...I've found this exact same bit on websites done up very similarly. Same price. The company names are just different. Thought it was a little peculiar (ie http://www.diamond-drill-bit-and-tool.com/Diamond-Drill/MAIN.htm)

I use Ameriglass for my hole saws. They work well for the price.

I have the 1.75" saw from them, and it works great. I have done 12 holes now with mine. From the small amount of wear it has shown, I'd guess the lifetime at about 75-100 holes.
Of course, that will all depend on the thickness of the glass. My 12 holes have been in 1/4".

this is a good place to go for bits, and the cheapest you will find at any size. I have 6 of their bits. I used a 1.5" over twenty-five times already, and I havent noticed any wear.

Found this site a while back around here somewhere.

I would have posted earlier but the link wouldn't load for me and I didn't want a broken link up here. This is supposed to be the Roll Royce of glass drill supplies.

Wow, Guaranteed for 1 year or 5000 holes, whichever comes first. So the golden question is of course, how much?

I just ordered my 2.5" bit from amersglas and am glad to hear from a few others that have used bits from them;)
Even if it doesn't last all that long for the price you cant beat it.
