a little growth

Here is a little grow shot of my birds nest. 1st pic is 10/07/02 when I got it and it is on the sand bed. The second is tonight 03/03/03 under only actinics with a flash. its a bit washed but you get the idea. unfortunately the tank is now 13 months old and I am battleing the scourge.. hair algae and bubble algae... with a small side order of cyano....

i think both pics are under just 440wt actinic. just different white balances and exposure settings... but yes it is that pink... the base is a bit more on the blood red color.... I think sometimes haveing a camera with lots of bells and whistles is a bad thing... sony dsc-707 sometimes a point and shoot is a whole lot easier.... and everything will always have same settings..
