Ok I did a dry install of the plumbing. I think it looks ok. I changed the cooling vents so that it looked cleaner and made it easier to work with. I will have 2 mag 18s on a closed look one on the left and one on the right. Both down the line will get 3/4 inch sea swirls. The main return pump will be a dolphin amp master with 2 - 1 1/4 inch returns. I'm pretty sure this will be enough for my acroporas. I threw together a quick page of some of the things I have dome. This includes adding a sub panel for my wiring. Let me know what you think.

So, when are you launching and what exactly will this satellite do?

LOL. I would like to think of it as my daisy cutter! As for launch date. Not soon enough!

It really is a work of art, though. What is the PVC for?

The pvc will be the return lines to the tank. The tank it's self is a 240 clarity plus. Because I plan on running (when I'm done adding) 5 Mh's in the canopy 3 400's and 2 - 250s I needed a way to exhaust the hot air out side. So I created my manifold.

Is that stuff gonna start rusting on you from salt vapor? I suppose it won't matter so muxh as long as you can check it, and replace it if necessary, either way.

Looks like a neater monster truck manifold now  Looks great actually.

K. Lee. I was think of putting it on my 626:D . I have had salt water tanks for some time now and I really am not to worryed about the rust factor. I had one up for 4 years (before upgrading) and the corrosion on the metal was not bad at all. I dont see massive amount of rust happening. (I'v got my fingers crossed!) before my next up grade:eek1: :D

This show how the cords will come down from the canopy and then plug into and extension cord router.

I wish I had room for something like that. It looks like it will be really nice when it is finished. My next tank will be a 180 or 200 built into a custom cabinet w/ curio cabinets built into each side.

Are you running your MH lights on 220VAC?

that suckers going to rust on you in 1 year and start to flake off in a year and a half, why dont you use 4 inch pvc instead. im guessing its a canopy with biult in returns. it looks like its going to be a pain in the *ss everytime you want to get in side your tank to move something or add coral etc to it but otherwise looks like you put a lot of hard work into it good luck and god speed lol.

$ inch pvc will not have enough flow to cool off the canopy. It will be totaly enclosed with 5 mh's when all done. The venting will begoing outside so that I do not heat up the house. I'm gonna take a change with the galvnized pipes. As for getting into the tank. heres a picture:

The front of the canopy will lift up for easy access when moving corals or rocks around. The only problem I will have is getting to the back drains in the overflows for anytype of adjustments.
