Is it possible for a black perc. and a orange perc. to cohabitate?
Would it make a difference if they were purchased at the same time?
Thank You
Ryan

Make sure you are not getting two females.

I think your best bet would be to purchase them when they are small and put them in the tank at the same time. It would probably also help to get a few of them so one wont get singled out.

First off, there isn't really a black perc. Its an ocellaris. So if you mean black ocellaris and orange ocellaris, then they are the same species so the general guideline of adding juvi's.

If you meant Black Ocellaris and True A. Perculas, they are both pretty docile compared to some other types of clowns. But it boils down to the personality of each individual fish.

I've successfully mixed species in my tank. I started with the black ocellaris pair, then introduced baby A. Percs. The female Ocellaris is still somewhat aggressive, she likes to chase the babies around dinnertime, but thats about the extent of it.
