Do you think it would be wise to add live sand while my tank is cycling i think no because with the ammonia so high it would kill what ever is living in the sand i have 6 inces of sterile arogranite and want to add live sand to seed

Depends on how you define "live sand". To me, live sand has snails, pods, and worms, etc. living in it, along with the bacteria that consume Ammo, & Nitrite. If you can add sand that you know has no critters in it, it will help cycle your tank. If you add sand with critters in it, they will likely die, extending your cycle. If you add that "Bag 'O Live Sand" crap from LFS, I don't believe it will have any effect, good or bad.
