how much sand?

My question is how much sand should I buy? Our tank is a 75 gallon. Is there some way to calculate how many pounds of sand I need? I am sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere..... I have spent the last 2 hours searching for a way to calculate this. Thanks for your time :)
