Does anyone use a dip for their corals before putting them in the display tank? I am just trying to assure myself of not introducing ich or other parasites into my display as I add corals in the future.
I am in the process of running my reef tank fish free and keeping my fish in a QT for 30+ days in an attempt to starve the little sob's in my reef.
I never have, but I know some who do. Im assuming you had an ich problem??

I haven't personally, but, I know I've read it as one good wat to add new SPS corals (I think they tolerate the proceedure better than some other corals like LPS). Many people Q anything before aaddition to the display. ;)

I only dip branching corals like hammer and frogspawn in tech-D by Kent for 5 minutes before they go on display.
I learned the hard way about infections corals can bring with them.
Other than that, only as needed after I notice something wrong or when I frag.
All new frags get the dip, I feel it helps the healing.
