this might sound funny but its painful to watch. my achilles tang has a piece of what looks like gracilaria algea stuck between its teeth on the top jaw. the algea has been in there for 2 days and the tang is now starting to get ick. i can tell its stressing the heck out of him/her. i tried to catch and i knew i had one shot it slipped by the net. should i start tearing stuff down or let the tang work it out on its own? thanks

I honestly don't know, but it seems that the algae will rot and make the fish sick on top of irritating him.

I have a "should I tear down" dilemma of my own, so I feel for you.
