shriveling lta

I have a LTA and i think he is dying had him about 5 days when we put him in the tank he swelled up and was doing good now, he is laying on the bottom of the tank all shriveled up. he also has spots on his orange bottom where he is loseing white fleshy / slimy substance. I don't want him to die in my tank but wanna give him a chance to make it !
Need answers ASAP !

Is he attached to any surface. If he is there is still a good chance he can make it. If it startes to look really bad get it out quick because it will turn to mush and make your whole room smell. If you can post a pic so we can see what is wrong or if it is normal.
