One of my friends just called me and told me his cinnamon clown was eating, yes eating his Hatian condy. I was kind of skeptical at first, so I went over to see what was really going on. To my disbelief, the clown was biting the tentacles, and swallowing them. It was bizare! Any idea what could've caused this? The clown is about 3.5", the anemone had a diameter of about 5", and it's tentacles were at least 3-4" long. It's a 40g tank, the clown has been in there for 4 months, the anemone was added at the same time. He thought they were finally pairing up. The anemone was very healthy....he's taking the clown back in fear that it will eat some of his corals he plans on adding. Any idea on what set the clown off? Bo

Eating, and the tentacle is gone afterwards? I have an ocellaris that sucks on the BTA's tentacles, but doesn't chomp on them, leave a scar, take a doggie bag home. Think she just wasn't weened.

No, it definatley ripped them off and ate them. Most were cut off halfway to 3/4s down the tentacle.....Bo
