Check out US Plastics (http://www.usplastic.com/) A lot of Do-it-yourselfers buy their products there.

where are you? you don't have a location listed in your profile. this will help people determine if they live in your area and can point out a local shop.

if in so cal, paragon plastics (el monte, ca) is a good source. they also have a lot of scraps that are usable for the aquarium DIY hobby.

I buy all my acrylic products from Laird Plastics. I'm not sure how competitive their pricing is for a single sheet, but they are very helpful, sell all types of acrylic, and will cut it precisely to whatever sizes you want. They have a service center in Baltimore. Web site is lairdplastics.com. HTH
