Coco worms or the calcaerous dusters, what do they like, et cetera. :D Long life generally? I know they need to be fed small foods, maybe some zooplankton, and not just phyoplankton like Hawaian dusters? How about water current, medium?

Hi

I have had coco worms. Ther neat!. I like all little critters like that. I dont have thme any more do to a former comperband but i do have a really neat collony of red feather dusters. I know both like high calcium and like to be fed DT's or phyto. The red ones are reallyu neat and grow neat to bucsue of the hard tubes. I wish i could find more of these around.

I don't think they should be feed small foods, jst phyto. I don't even think they could eat small foods. I also remember that they only live 1-2 years. If I were you I'ed go ask Dr. Ron.

Thanks. By small foods I meant zooplankton, things up to around the size of baby brine shrimps.

Is 1 - 2 years their natural life span? That would seem awfully short.

Did search and found all this: coco worms (http://www.reefcentral.com/vbulletin/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=778448&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending) They will not eat anything else ecept phyto.

Ok, thanks. I searched too, and read what little was available there. In Sprung's, "Invertebrates a Quick Reference Guide", pp. 139, 2001, I took "particulate matter" to mean zooplankton. Also mentioned is bacteria, which is of course no where near the size of a b.s. naupali. :)

I have one for over a year now and didn't feed phyto for about 5 months. He's still doing good.
