i got this for christmas and its not optical and im having bad luck taking nice close ups. Can i change some settings to make it better or what? Anyone have it or can help me.

i just looked on www.dpreview.com and didn't see your model listed- there's a 360 but no 380.
anyhow- what have you tried so far? is there a macro setting on your camera? if so that will allow the lens to focus closer (the camera can be closer to the subject and still keep it in focus).
