After using the 4 stage reverse osmosis system, what does one need to add to the water?

I need fresh water for top offs. Do I need to add anything or take it as it is? Put in some PH 8.2 perhaps?

Thanks,

We just add the straight RO water when we are doing top offs for evaporation purposes. We mix salt and add buffer for water changes. How much does your tank evap. in a day? How often are you adding?

I have a 4 stage and add top off water directly to the sump.
Top off is typically evaporated water replaced with pure water.

I would use "as is"...

No, I don't add anything. I just needed to know if one needed to add anything to the top off water before adding it to the tank.

When I want to use it for salt water, then do I add the salt and PH 8.2? Or just the salt?

Thanks

I guess this brings up a seperate question/answer but I believe I read here before that topoff water should be heated to a temp just above the main tank temp before introducing. I assumed this was for the smaller tanks with no auto top off or drip...anyone else care to clarify? Is there a percentage to tank volume that just adding room temp water would be ok? I have been considering a nano and was wanting to be sure.

I believe this subject came up during an ich bout someone had and I can't seem to find the exact thread....
